Requirements

For the bachelor programme: two foreign languages, B2 and A2. For students for whom German is not their native language, German C1 and another foreign language B2.

For the master programme: bachelor degree, or if appropriate a different university degree, required (German language and literature or teaching qualification for German with supporting documents for ancient and modern literature plus historical- and contemporary-related linguistics), two foreign languages, B2 and A2 or for students for whom German is not their native language, German C1

Description

The German Language and Literature study programme comprises the German language and German-language literature. The bachelor programme covers the field of linguistics with the sub-sections: Introduction to German linguistics, system of the German language, historic language stages of the German language, linguistic variation and communication. Literature consists of the following sub-sections: Introduction to German literature, history of German-language literature (from beginnings to present), theory of literature and literature for children and young people
