The vocationally oriented study programme deepens knowledge in the field of political science and provides professional expertise needed in Europe-related jobs. It offers courses in political science, conveying knowledge in terms of economy and economic policies as well as practice-based knowledge of the political processes in the EU. The programme can be studied either as a programme of the University of Leipzig with a mandatory semester abroad or as a double degree programme with Andrássy University Budapest, where students spend their first year in Budapest.

The study programme consists of two compulsory “pillars”: in-depth studies in political science with a special emphasis on politics in Europe, and basic studies in economics and economic policies. Depending on the branch of study (double degree or single degree), students can also choose optional compulsory modules related to intercultural communication, transformation, regions, language courses in East Central European languages or others.
