Digital Humanities

Bachelor of Science. (B.Sc.)

To be admitted to the bachelor programme, applicants must provide evidence that their ability in English corresponds to B2 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference).

Digital Humanities is a very young field of international research that deals with where the humanities and computer science meet.

This includes diverse fields of activity, from the digitization of humanities information and the creation of digital editions to analysis and visualization.
Accordingly, the modules of the Digital Humanities bachelor programme consist in roughly equal parts of a chosen humanities subject and applied computer science (programming). A number of modules on the Digital Humanities programme also combine the two subjects.

A B.Sc. in Digital Humanities may be useful for careers in e.g. the GLAM sector (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) and in the social media field.
