Vice-Rectorate for Development and Transfer

The vice-rectorate is responsible for the structural development of the Universität Leipzig higher education planning and the transfer of its scientific achievements and services into the areas of economics, politics and society. In addition to promoting outside cooperation with the university, it also takes external suggestions and support and implements them to the benefit of all partners involved.

1985 - 1992 PhD and Habilitation at the Technical University Darmstadt („Reformbedarf und Reformmöglichkeiten des bundesdeutschen Finanzausgleichs - Eine Simulationsstudie“)

1986 – 1993 Assistant to Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bert Rürup at the Institute for Finance at the Technical University Darmstadt

since 1993 Professor of Public Finance at the Universität Leipzig

since 1994 Director of the Institute of Public Finance at the Universität Leipzig

2006 – 2010 Director of the Center for International Economic Relations at the Universität Leipzig

since 2009 Director of the Institute of Public Finance and Public Management and of the Competence Centre for Public Economy and Services of General Interest

since 2011 Vice-Rector for Development and Transfer
