Research Activities at the Centre
The Centre for Teacher Training and School Research was established at Leipzig University in 2005. It serves as an interdisciplinary platform for studies in education to foster dialogue and co-operation among scholars and professionals as well as to promote innovation in teacher-training, educational policy and pedagogical implementation.
The centre contributes to coordinate research and teaching. In striving to meet current needs in education, the centre focuses on issues at the interface between theory and practice. Including fields as diverse as public education and educational management, our research and development projects express the centre’s commitment to providing viable strategies to address the educational challenges of today and tomorrow.
Work is determinate by the following key areas:
- Children about the Holocaust – Early references between 1944 and 1946
- HiK – An Assessment about the multimedia system “Hoch im Kurs”
- Intercultural education and development – a seminar and lecture analysis for Leipzig University 2003-2006
- KUNI – Leipzig’s First Children University
- Preparation from school coaches for practical studies in saxonian schools
- further training “ethics” for primary school teachers
