Canopy cranes world-wide

In 1990 the North American Alan Smith had the simple but ingenious idea to erect a construction tower crane that normally is used on building lots in a rainforest in Panama for long term canopy research.This project was followed by ten more canopy cranes. Five are located in temperate forests, six in tropical regions. Click on the short descriptions on the picture to get more informations.
