Network conception for Winsperm®
Remote access of the database and simultaneous interaction by multiple users are possible.

Distributed processing of information among networked computers provides real time availability of data. The data can be transferred across heterogeneous platform and software systems. Principle network architectures are peer to peer and client-server networks.

A major limitation of the former is the low security standard applicable at those systems by password settings irrespective of the users privileges.
The more sophisticated solution of a client-server based domain requires additional hardware. A server accommodates the resources and may regulate all access queries via a user account database. For safety reasons a backup domain controller should be applied. In case of emergency it takes the users access control over.

We have incorporated this client-server model into our database. A flexible front end can provide sophisticated data entry capabilities, while hiding the complexities of the multiple systems from the user. The server based back ends contain the tables. Distributed storage of demographics and other tables in different back ends contributes additional safety.
