Ritterstrasse is only a five minute-walk from the main train station. You may also take any tram heading for Augustusplatz. The university buildings in the city centre are nearby. Public parking is available in the underground car park at Augustusplatz.

In the guesthouse "Ritterstrasse", 9 maisonette apartments with full bathroom as well as an extra toilet and two spacious living rooms can be booked for guests of the University. All of them with kitchen and bathroom and fitted with telephone sockets. In addition four 1-room apartements (all furnished) are available.

For your convenience, a laundry is located in the basement.

Old booksellers' exchange

History

The apartment house at Ritterstrasse 12 is close to the university and located right in the heart of the city. It was built in the 1980s on the oldest university-owned land, the site of the former "booksellers'" exchange, which had been destroyed during World War II.
