The organization and administration of the Centre for Area Studies is divided amongst four official bodies – the scientific advisory committee, spokesperson, executive board, and plenum – and is supported by the coordinators’ office. Together these bodies undertake general decisions for the overall management of the institution, agenda and events as well as specific agreements concerning the funding, research programme and participating institutions of CAS. Through their cooperation and funding by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research, activities and goals relating to the development of CAS are planned and executed.
