The conference fee must be paid in cash on registration at the conference office. Neither cheques nor credit
cards will be accepted.

The university complex is located in the very centre of Leipzig (cf. numbers 17-20 on the Map of the City Centre). The now disused University Tower is a good landmark. Head for it in order to find the conference sites. You will have to look for the Hörsaalgebäude (literally, lecture hall building) and the Seminargebäude (teaching building). Hörsaalgebäude and Seminargebäude are referred to as numbers 20 and 19, respectively, on the Partial Map.
The Conference Office will be located at SG 0-35/36 (SG = Seminargebäude; 0 = ground floor; 35/36 = room # 35/36). From November 30, 15:00 to December 3, 19:00 the conference office may be contacted as follows:

The two plenary meetings on Wednesday 1 December from 09:00-10:30 and Friday 3 December from 16:30-18:00 will take place at lecture hall 17 of the Hörsaalgebäude.
The sites for the parallel sessions on Wednesday 1 December, Thursday 2 December
and Friday 3 December will be as follows:
Section A: SG 0-91 (SG = Seminargebäude; 0 = ground
floor; 91 = room # 91)
Section B: lecture hall 6 (at the Hörsaalgebäude)
Section C: SG 0-33/34 (SG = Seminargebäude;
0 = ground floor; 33/34 = room # 33/34)

The Institut für Slavistik (Department of Slavic Languages) is located at the so-called Brühl Center on Brühl street, which is close to the Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof) - look for the small filled black circle on the Map of the City Centre. The institute takes up most of the 6th floor of the building. The secretary's room is #615/616.

On-Line Railway Timetable (Deutsche Bahn/German Rail)
If you arrive by PLANE you can use the shuttle bus service that operates between the airport and the city centre. In the city centre, the bus stops in front of the Main railway station (Hauptbahnhof). From there you can walk to the Conference sites.
Tickets for the Airport Shuttle can be obtained from the driver. Prices are as follows:
Single ticket: DM 10
Return ticket: DM 16 (applicable only if the outward journey and the return journey are on the same day)

Taxis are much more expensive. It costs approximately DM 50 to go from the airport to the city centre.
If you arrive by RAIL you will enter the city centre from the Main railway station (Hauptbahnhof). The Conference sites are in walking distance.
