History
|
|
The Grassi Museum owes special thanks to Wilhelm Meissner, an organ builder from Zörbig, who, after his death, left the larger part of his musical instrument collection to the Museum. Thus, in 1959, the University Collection acquired some valuable string and wind instruments, a Steinweg-Hupfeld player piano with rolls, a harp, and other instruments.
