Introduction
 

What is Biophysics?

Biophysics builds a bridge between biology and physics. It investigates the physical principles underlying biological processes. Biophysics operates on all levels of biological organization such as molecular or cellular level. One primary aspect of biophysical research is the analysis of dynamics of biological system as well as the connection between mechanical properties of biological material and its biological function, termed biomechanics.
