Teaching

Courses on social psychology and research methods are part of the Bachelor (BSc) and the Master (MSc) programs in psychology which are offered at the University of Leipzig. The department is also involved in doctoral training.

BSc in Psychology

  • Introduction to Social Psychology I (social perception, cognition, and motivation; self & identity)
  • Introduction to Social Psychology II (interpersonal, intra-group, and inter-group processes)
  • Applied Social Psychology (e.g., intergroup processes, environmental psychology)
  • Lectures, seminars, practicals

MSc in Psychology

  • Social Cognition and Social Motivation
  • Specializations in specific research issues (e.g., effects of threat on social thinking and behavior, collective action, norms and social influence, intergroup  conflict, promotion of pro-environmental behavior)
  • Lectures, seminars, practicals

Doctoral Training

  • Supervision of individual PhD projects
