Currently, I am Post-Doc in the Statistics
and Computational Biology research group headed by
Korbinian Strimmer
at the Institute of Medical Informatics,
Statistics, and Epidemiology (IMISE) of the
University of Leipzig.
In July 2012 I finished my PhD on multivariate strategies for variable
selection and identification of biomarkers in high-dimensional omics data
at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science
of the University Leipzig.
Between 2002 and 2008 I studied Statistics (B.Sc. and M.Sc.)
at the Department of Statistics of
the University of Munich.
During my studies I worked as a research assistant at the
Max-Planck-Institute for Psychiatry.
Research Interests
- High-dimensional feature selection
- Biomarker discovery
- Gene expression and SNP analysis
- fMRI imaging data
