Overview

Research Training Group 2721 “Hydrogen Isotopes ¹²³H” is funded by the German Research Foundation DFG with 5.4 million Euro for 4.5 years and has been training over 20 doctoral researchers with its dedicated research and educational activities since October 2021.

Team

14 principal investigators contribute to the training of ¹²³H’s 15 funded doctoral researchers. In addition, several associated doctoral researchers and postdocs are actively involved in our research.

The Research Training Group Hydrogen Isotopes offers cutting-edge doctoral research projects at the interfaces of analytical, inorganic, organic, physical, and theoretical chemistry, chemical technology as well as material science.

Doctoral Research Projects

¹²³H currently comprises 15 interdisciplinary, cross-linked research projects in the field of hydrogen isotope research, each associated with one or more of our three research areas.

Qualification Programme

The qualification programme was developed to provide ¹²³H-specific academic training, career-developing skills, as well as contact to the world-leading researchers. To this end, it offers three general types of educational activities: Study Courses, Fora and Science-related Activities.
