Dr Ruth Stassart has been awarded an ERC Strating Grant for her project "Spatio-functional cellular interplay in peripheral nerve diseases". The aim of the project is to understand how local glial impairment propagates malfunction within the neuromuscular unit, by employing neuropathic mouse models and generating a holistic transcriptional cellular interactome of the diseased neuromuscular unit at single cell resolution level.
