Changing Orders in a Globalised World

As one of the University’s three strategic research fields, this field deals primarily with processes of social organisation and globalisation. It is subdivided into the research profile areas of “Global Connections and Comparisons” and “Contested Order”.

Computergrafik: Vogelperspektive auf eine große Gruppe von Menschen, die sich wie zu einer Demonstration versammeln und sich zwei Gruppen gegenüber stehen. Darüber liegen weiße Vierecke, die mit Linien verbunden sind und ein Organigramm symbolisieren.

Contested Order

Das „Routledge Handbook of Transregional Studies“ ist in internationaler Zusammenarbeit entstanden und umfasst 70 Beiträge.

Sustainable Principles for Life and Health

This strategic research field comprises four research profile areas that investigate the foundations of life and health in humans, nature and the environment. Researchers work in transdisciplinary projects to advance basic and applied research and its transfer into society.

Intelligent Methods and Materials

The researchers work together on topics involving language and the digital age, investigate the properties of molecules to complex nanostructures or cell mechanics, and deal with structural questions in mathematics, physics and computer science.
