Introduction to science management: fields of work, content and career prospects
The relatively young professional field of science management is often (still) little known to doctoral graduates. However, this career path offers the opportunity to pursue a wide range of tasks that support science. This workshop provides a basic introduction to this career field.
What exactly does a research officer at a non-university research institution or a science manager at the DFG do? And what does the job of a university development officer look like? As a postdoc, how do I get started in these university and science-related fields of work?
Based on these questions, the participants will clarify for themselves what characterises science and university management and whether this is a possible career field for them.
