On 5 May, Leipzig University’s Senate unanimously adopted the following declaration:
“The Senate is aware that the current situation (pandemic) may cause students considerable difficulties and also disadvantages in their studies. It shall continue to work to ensure that disadvantageous situations are offset. One such arrangement is that, upon application, each student shall be entitled to have the summer semester 2020 not count towards their standard period of study, and that deadlines for examinations will be handled generously.”
Update (14 May): If you would like to apply for the summer semester 2020 not to count towards your standard period of study, you can do so directly via the AlmaWeb portal from 15 May.
