Low motivation, tough deadlines, self-doubt – virtually every student will experience these at some point. A new guide from Leipzig University gives students tips and advice on how to make a success of their studies, even if they face challenges along the way.

“The ‘Study Success’ guide is aimed at all Leipzig University students, but especially those students with doubts or students in particularly challenging situations,” said Catharina Taşyürek, coordinator of the project Plan A – Your plan. Your path. Your choice. “It looks at topics frequently raised by students during our consultations, and highlights possible solutions.” The result is a reference work for students which can accompany them in all phases of their studies.

In three chapters, the brochure is devoted to the topics of Understanding Studying, Study Success and Finding Support. It also contains specific methods and instructions so that students can independently develop their own solution strategies for a problem. “The final chapter is deliberately tongue-in-cheek,” added Catharina Taşyürek. “Our ‘anti-guide’ for students is all about successfully failing at university.”

The “Study Success” guide from the Plan A project is available online and will also be printed shortly.
