Extended opening hours will be in effect at the University Library (UB) branches from Monday, 7 June 2021. Furthermore the seat booking system will also be open to non-University members and thus for all UB Leipzig users.

Library users are still required to wear an FFP2 or surgical face mask at all times when using study desks. In accordance with the coronavirus rules applicable in Saxony and in anticipation of the University’s amended Hygiene and Infectious Disease Concept, there is no testing requirement.

All library users can borrow and return items. No prior registration is necessary for this. For short visits to the library, please use the check-in service and use a basket if required.

Items can still be borrowed from the non-circulating collection and automatic renewal is still possible, as long as the item has not been recalled and is not an interlibrary loan. Please note that fees may be charged if recalls and interlibrary loans are returned late.

Holdings from the special collections can also be accessed again in the Special Collections reading room; further information is available here.
