Abstract

Originally a primary school teacher, I have been working as a research assistant and LfbA at the Faculty of Education and occasionally also at the Centre for Teacher Training and School Research at the University of Leipzig in the field of German didactics in primary schools since March 2015. In addition to working on various research projects, my work focuses primarily on German as a second language and multilingualism in primary schools, German language didactics as well as on planning, designing and reflecting on German lessons.

    The students have a basic knowledge of German as a second language and multilingualism and can use this knowledge to design language-sensitive joint lessons. They acquire knowledge and skills in the basics of second language acquisition, (second) language promotion in joint teaching and the concepts of teaching German in multilingual learning groups.

  • Teaching and Learning Material for basic reading and writing lessons (German language)

    The seminar takes an in-depth and application-oriented look at selected examples of language didactics that were covered in the lecture "Grundlagen und Grundfragen der Grundschuldidaktik Deutsch". The content focuses, for example, on sentence-internal capitalisation, the verb as a "doing word", oral storytelling and text patterns/types. The content is analysed and discussed from an empirical, subject-specific and didactic perspective.
