Abstract

Study of Sociology, Modern History and Economic History at the Universities of Bern, Basel and Leipzig. Ph.D. (Dr. rer.pol.) in Sociology at the University of Leipzig. Habilitation in Sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich.

Since 2011 professor for Sociology and Methodology at the University of Leipzig.

Research interests are methodology and methods of empirical social research, especially experimental designs, causal analysis and the foundations of social cooperation.
