The European Union supports long-term research stays with "Postdoctoral Fellowships". The aim is to prepare postdoctoral researchers for a career in academia or business, both professionally and through soft skills. This happens within a research project. International, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral mobility is the central element of the funding instrument.

Leipzig University supports applicants who envisage to choose Leipzig University as host institution by offering a free, two-day workshop.

Leipzig University as Host Institution

First of all, check out our range of expertise in your research area. Given the broad range of research undertaken at the university, it is highly likely that you will find a highly qualified senior con-investigator who could support your application. If you find a potential supervisor, please contact him/her or the EU project officer to register your interest. We will be happy to work with you to develop your ideas into a good joint application and potentially to go all the way to a successful project.
