Management Science

Master of Science. (M.Sc.)

Bachelor degree with mainly business and economic content, German and Englisch B2

This four-semester study programme was launched in the winter semester 2009/2010 and requires participants to have obtained an above-average bachelor university degree in a related subject, such as economics or management science. The programme aims to enable students to analyse and prepare solutions to complex business problems in theory and practice on the basis of in-depth professional knowledge and using scientific methods. Students choose a specialisation from one of the programme’s major foci “Banks, insurance companies and investment management”, “Services and Human Resources Management”, “Accountancy, Taxation and Financing”, Real Estate Management” or “Technical Management”. This master programme stands apart from comparable national and international programmes in particular through its orientation to services. In addition to some compulsory modules dependent on the major foci, there is a wide range of options within this master programme, and also in other master programmes in the faculty, e.g. in Economics and Business Information Systems. A semester abroad is not an obligatory part of the programme, but is recommended to students and facilitated through simplified recognition procedures.
