The enrolment ceremony (“feierliche Immatrikulation”) is Leipzig University’s way of welcoming newly enrolled students and introducing them to academic life. In the winter semester 2020/21, this ceremony was broadcast in a pandemic-appropriate live stream.

Online Welcome

Unfortunately, the regulations on social distancing meant that the enrolment ceremony for new students had to be held without any guests in the Paulinum – Assembly Hall and University Church of St. Paul. A live stream of the event was broadcast on 4 November. You can watch it again here.
