They vary according to the degree programme, the semester for which you wish to apply, whether or not admission to the degree programme is restricted, and whether you will be commencing your studies in the summer semester or winter semester.

  • The winter semester begins on 1 October and ends on 31 March.
  • The summer semester semester begins on 1 April and ends on 30 September.

Winter Semester Application Periods

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, some application deadlines have been postponed. All application periods and deadlines listed below are current and correct.

Online applications for these courses are open from the beginning of June until 20 August 2020.

Important: Different Deadline for uni-assist!

The closing date for uni-assist applications from German applicants is 31 July. Applicants have until 3 August to submit missing documents.

Please find out separately about deviating application deadlines for the study programmes in the central allocation procedure as well as for our study programmes in the DoSV procedure.

As part of the application you will be required to provide evidence of credits already acquired.

The beginning of June until 15 July (online application)

Once you have applied online, please print the registration document generated after your online application, sign it and hand it in to the Student Office along with the necessary evidence by no later than 21 July.

Online applications through uni-assist end on 15 July for German applicants. This applies both to the online application and to the postal submission of the required documents.

Applications submitted outside the application periods cannot be considered in the admission and enrolment procedures.
