Welcome to the 2024 University Information Day
On 4 May 2024, between 10am and 3pm, there will be plenty of opportunities to find out about studying in Leipzig at our Augustusplatz campus. Take inspiration from talks about our degree programmes and ask your individual questions at our advisory sessions. Choosing the right degree programme, applying, living in Leipzig: we will accompany you on your path to university!
Visit our modern campus in the centre of Leipzig: take a look inside our lecture halls and seminar rooms and join a guided tour of the Campus Library or the studio of Leipzig University’s local student radio station, mephisto 97.6. Chat with our students at the student speed dating event for an authentic insight into studying.
Use the event app
All events for the 2024 University Information Day can be found in our event app. You can use it to create your own programme and bookmark your favourite events. The German web app can be opened and used in any browser, so you don’t need to install anything through your app store.
Use the integrated route planner to find your way to each venue. To do this, click on the location details in the event information.
Under the German heading “Infos”, you will find important information on things like wireless internet access at the event, parking facilities and catering in the refectories.

Opening of the University Information Day in the largest lecture hall, the Auditorium maximum on the ground floor of the Neues Augusteum, by the Vice-Rector for Talent Development: Study and Teaching and the Head of the Student Advisory Service and the Career Service - 10am–3pm
Information stands in the Neues Augusteum and a varied programme of lectures, cooperating institutions introduce themselves and answer your questions - 10am–3pm
Student speed dating – talk to students from a range of subjects and find out first-hand what it’s like to study at Leipzig. - 11am, 12.15pm and 1.30pm
Let our student ambassadors show you the most important places on the Augustusplatz campus. You can register at the information desk in the Neues Augusteum. - 11am–2pm
Join a guided tour of our Campus Library or go behind the scenes in the studio of our local student radio station, mephisto 97.6. Check the web app for exact times. - 10.30am–2.30pm
Take the opportunity to visit our Paulinum – Assembly Hall and University Church of St. Paul. - 12.15pm
