Our university consists of 14 faculties with over 130 institutes and centres as well as 16 central institutions. In total, Leipzig University employs around 5300 people, spread across the equivalent of 4229 full-time positions. More than 30,000 students study at our university. We have partnerships with universities in 49 countries. Of our total income of 405 million euros, 118 million euros comes from third-party funds.

Das Diagramm zeigt, dass von 405 Millionen Euro Gesamteinnahmen 216 Millionen Euro aus Zuweisungen des Freistaat Sachsens (z.B. Grund,- Leistungs-, Investitionsbudget) kommen und 118 Millionen Euro durch Drittmitteln eingenommen wurden. 47 Millionen Euro sind Zuweisungen vom Freistaat Sachsen durch zentrale Haushaltsansätze (z.B. Hochschulpakt 2020 oder Bildungspaket 2020). 85 Millionen Euro stammen aus Zuwendungen anderer öffentlicher Träger (z.B. Bund, DFG, EU). 39 Millionen Euro kommen aus der Wirtschaft und 18 Millionen stammen aus Eigeneinahmen wie Eintrittsgelder oder Nutzungsentgelde.
