  • Fundamental and cross-faculty matters pertaining to university development planning (development, equipment and structural planning)
  • allocation and advertisement of university lecturer positions
  • chairman of the Rectorate Structural Commission
  • target agreements with the Free State of Saxony
  • internal performance and target agreements (faculties and centres)
  • structure of academic institutions and interdisciplinary centres (pursuant to Sections 30 and 31 of the Basic Regulations)
  • strategic budgetary matters
  • fundamental and cross-faculty matters pertaining to the transfer of knowledge and technology
  • transfer strategy and structures
  • fundamental questions concerning the protection and exploitation of intellectual property (IP)
  • promotion of entrepreneurship and start-ups
  • identification and development of services for society, culture, business and politics
  • liaising with committees and institutions.
