Erasmus+ ICM Partnership Forum

Leipzig University is holding an Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Partnership Forum in Leipzig from Sunday, 3 June, to Thursday, 7 June 2018.

This “staff week” will address different aspects that arise when coordinating the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) and as a second main topic the integration of international components into the curriculum (please see draft programme). The Erasmus+ Partnership Forum aims at exchanging experience and developing ideas amongst the group but also taking the chance to discuss the collaboration with the respective partners here at Leipzig University.  It is designed as a series of workshops in which you are invited to actively contribute. It includes times to explore Leipzig University placed in a city rich of history, culture and vividness and to socialise with your colleagues.

Erasmus+ ICM Funding

Participants are eligible for Erasmus+ training mobility funding provided by Leipzig University (comprising a travel grant according to distance and daily allowance of 120€ (max. 7 days)).

Target Participants

The call for participation in the Partnership Forum is targeted mainly to staff members at our Erasmus+ partner institutions who are responsible for the management of Erasmus+ in partner countries.

Joint Conference

On Wednesday, 6 June, the conference “Foreign Language Components in the Curriculum“ is integrated into the Forum schedule, which is organised in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Leipzig (HTWK) and the University of Applied Sciences HTW Dresden. They also hold an International Staff Week and together we will be able to learn and share knowledge on the topic. For this conference, we would like to ask as part of your application to provide examples of your institution that contributes best to one of the following questions:

“How to use foreign language components in the curriculum?”

“How to develop an institutional language policy?”

Some of the provided examples will be selected for presentation during one of the conference workshops.

The closing date for applications is 1 March 2018. The Partnership Forum will be limited to 25 participants, preferably one per institution. If there are more applicants than places available, priority will be given to those applicants who provided a detailed example for the integration of foreign language components or the development of an institutional language policy. Selected participants will be informed shortly after the application has closed.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at Leipzig University in June!
