Once a year, we cordially invite all lecturers, students and staff from Leipzig University and the other higher education institutions in Leipzig to take part in a day dedicated to exchanging information and ideas about subject-specific and interdisciplinary issues in teaching and learning. Mutual inspiration, critical reflection and networking are the top priorities for the day. The Day of Teaching and Learning (Tag der Lehre) showcases the wide-ranging involvement and many innovative ideas in teaching at our university.

Sixth Day of Teaching and Learning: Inspiration. Innovation. Impact. #ULvirtuell

This year, the Day of Teaching and Learning will take place on 24 June 2020 under special conditions. For the first time, university lecturers, students and staff will be meeting in a virtual space. In keeping with the motto Inspiration. Innovation. Impact. #ULvirtuell, they will present innovative teaching ideas, exchange information about current developments and formulate ideas for teaching in the future. The focus will be on the diversity of innovative and future-oriented teaching and learning scenarios and the benefits they offer Leipzig University – no matter whether they are technology-supported, transnational or simply particularly effective. There will also be opportunity to talk about the online semester: what is going well? What is more difficult without face-to-face instruction? What tools and strategies can we use in the long term?
