Besonders hinweisen möchten wir aber erneut auf die Regelungen zum Thema Mund-Nase-Schutz. Ein Mund-Nase-Schutz (medizinische Gesichtsmaske, OP-Maske) oder eine höherwertigere Atemschutzmaske (KN95, FFP-Maske) ist bei Präsenzlehrveranstaltungen und Prüfungen auch weiterhin am Platz verpflichtend. Für Lehrende bzw. Beschäftigte sind diese dringend empfohlen. Bei Lehrveranstaltungen und Prüfungen in Kleingruppen (bis ca. 20 Personen) kann in Absprache zwischen Lehrenden und Studierenden bei Einhaltung des Mindestabstandes von 1,5 Metern auf den Mund-Nase-Schutz verzichtet werden.
Mit dieser Entscheidung nehmen Krisenstab und Rektorat auch Bezug auf einen Beschluss des Student_innenRats, in dem eine generelle Maskenpflicht in universitären Gebäuden gefordert wird. Diese kann es aktuell schon allein aus rechtlichen Gründen nicht geben. Aber das Schutzbedürfnis insbesondere von Studierenden mit chronischen Erkrankungen in Lehrveranstaltungen, in denen der Mindestabstand nicht eingehalten werden kann, erkennen wir natürlich an.

STUDENT EMAIL 8/22: PANDEMIC UPDATE
Dear student,
A new version of the University’s Hygiene and Infectious Disease Concept comes into force once it is published today. It will be valid until 31 July 2022. It will lift many of the previous restrictions, including rules on using the computer pools.
However, we would once again like to draw particular attention to the rules on face coverings. During in-person teaching and examinations, you still have to wear medical face masks (surgical masks) or higher-quality respirators (KN95, FFP masks) even when seated. These are strongly recommended for lecturers and staff. In the case of teaching and examinations in small groups (of up to around 20 people), the lecturer and students may decide by mutual agreement not to wear face coverings, provided that the minimum distance of 1.5 metres is maintained.
When taking this decision, the crisis management team and the Rectorate also considered a resolution passed by the Student Council (StuRa), which calls for a general obligation to wear masks in university buildings. This is currently not possible for legal reasons alone. However, we certainly recognise the need to protect people, particularly students with chronic illnesses in classes and lectures where it is not possible to maintain the minimum distance.
