Christopher Street Day Leipzig
True to the slogan "University Celebrates Diversity", our university is officially present at Leipzig's annual Christopher Street Day event with its own activities and information stand. As a university, we take a particular stand against any form of violence, hostility or discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation. As an additional sign of unreserved solidarity, the university raises the rainbow flag throughout the entire CSD week, usually at the beginning of July. "Happy Pride!", come along, celebrate with us and let's send a strong and united message for the rights of queer people!
DOKversity
Attention film buffs! In cooperation with the university, the DOK Leipzig film festival regularly presents a unique series of films entitled DOKversity. Free popcorn and an abundance of cinema flair will await you at these intriguing and exciting documentaries and films on the topics of racism, justice and diversity. A special highlight is the dialogue about the topics shown with guest directors and experts and the opportunity to discuss your questions with them.
Wer ist dieser Herr Gender?
Ungewohnte und spannende Einblicke in die Vielfalt der Geschlechterforschung präsentiert die Veranstaltungsreihe »Wer ist dieser Herr Gender?«. Von Wonder Woman und Star Trek bis in den Supermarkt und Sport - Die Vorträge und Diskussionen analysieren das Thema Gender in Wissenschaft, Popkultur und Gesellschaft. Zur der Reihe, die in Kooperation mit dem Referat für Gleichstellung der Stadt Leipzig stattfindet, sind Studierende und Mitarbeitende der Universität sowie die interessierte Öffentlichkeit eingeladen.
