Blockseminar von Dr. Ulrich Volz: China and the East Asian Economy (03-SIN-0408 China als Global Player)
Course Description
This course will provide an overview of China’s role in the East Asian
economy and the economic interdependencies that characterise the region.
Current challenges of China and the East Asian economies will be given
particular attention. Topics that will be addressed include: economic
growth in East Asia; trade and economic growth; the East Asian
trade-production network; East Asia’s role in global imbalances; the
Asian financial crisis; financial cooperation in East Asia; monetary
cooperation in East Asia; East Asia’s role in global economic
governance; inequality in East Asia; demographic challenges of China and
other East Asian countries; environmental challenges and the move to
sustainable economics.

“Freunde aus der Ferne…” – Vortrag von Prof. Huang Pumin
Am 29. April 2013 (Montag) um 18 Uhr lädt das Konfuzius-Institut Leipzig zum Vortrag von Prof. Huang Pumin (Renmin Universität, Peking) ein. Das Thema des Vortrags ist „Wahrheit und Konstruktion von Geschichte – Die Dekonstruktion von Fiktionalität konfuzianischer Auffassungen über den Krieg im alten China“. Im vorangehenden Kolloquium (Beginn 16:30 Uhr) wird Professor Huang zum Thema „Vier Irrtümer der Geschichtsforschung“ 历史学研究中的四个“误区” Fragen beantworten und für ein Gespräch mit den Studenten zur Verfügung stehen.
