The first Brain Dynamics Science Speed Dating event was held on 26th of April in “Bierakademie” in Leipzig’s city center. In this first in a series of events intended to encourage networking and collaboration among working groups, twenty doctoral students, postdocs and principal investigators went through several speed dating rounds. The five-minutes, one-on-one chats enabled Brain Dynamics members to get to know each other’s scientific projects and methods. In a relaxed atmosphere supported by some delicious pizza and soft drinks, participants were enthusiastic to discuss science and use the opportunity to connect with other members of the Brain Dynamics Graduate School. After the speed dating rounds, there was some time for longer chats and disscusions about the future plans. We will continue with our brainstorming sessions in June with the second Science Speed Dating Meetup and the Pilot Project Workshop. A big thank you to everyone who joined and gave feedback.
