The laboratory of PD Dr. Zohreh Hosseinzadeh at the Paul Flechsig Institute of Brain Research and Neuropathology, University Leipzig is offering a PhD position for developing new therapies to treat retinal diseases. (f/m/d)

We are starting an exciting Marie Skłodowska Curie - Doctoral Networks (MSCA-DN) project “Targeting RNA as an approach for treating retinal disease” (RETORNA).
In RETORNA, we develop new therapies to treat retinal diseases. We seek 10 Doctoral candidates (DCs) to work across Europe!

In DC2 project at the University Leipzig, we will be targeting diabetic retinopathy by micro RNA in a human retinal organoid model.

Benefits:

The monthly financial package will include the following gross researcher allowances:

1) Living allowance of € 3,400.00 (country correction coefficient applies)

2) Mobility allowance of € 600.00

3) Family allowance of € 660.00 if applicable.

The final net monthly amount depends on the country destination and the family situation.

The guaranteed PhD funding is for 36 months starting from autumn 2023.
