Abstract
Michael Seyfarth works at the Herder Institute as a lecturer in the field of methodology/didactics of German as a foreign and second language and as an editor of the journal "Deutsch als Fremdsprache". He's teaching in the B.A. and M.A. programs with a focus on general aspects of teaching/learning languages, curriculum development and teaching/learning languages for specific purposes. Furthermore, he is responsible for internship preparation and follow-up seminars.
After graduating from Leipzig University, he worked as a German lecturer (DAAD-Sprachassistent/DAAD-Lektor) in Russia and as a research assistant in Nuremberg and Greifswald. He defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Vienna.
