New Global Dynamics focuses on trends that are being observed around the world. Researchers are examining the interplay of global dynamics in the course of a frequently diagnosed multi-crisis, in order to derive explanations.

The research carried out by New Global Dynamics in the social and environmental sciences is centred on trends that are being observed all over the world. The aim is to examine interdependencies of these global dynamics in the context of a frequently diagnosed multi-crisis in order to derive an explanation of current world orders.

Our highly interdisciplinary group comprises researchers from the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Leipzig University, three Max Planck Institutes in Halle, Jena and Leipzig, three Leibniz Institutes and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research Leipzig.
