"Wissenschaft findet Stadt" provides female students from all academic backgrounds with insights into Leipzig’s city administration as a potential employer. The Administration of the City of Leipzig can offer a wide range of career prospects and opportunities.


In addition to a tour of the various offices, workshops will provide you with information on staff recruitment processes and interaction between the City Administration and local government. In a mentoring session, you will get to know senior office managers and be given individual guidance on your own professional career planning.

The programme is geared towards female students at Leipzig University who are at an advanced stage of their bachelor's, master's or state examination degree and already have specific ideas about which direction to take their careers. The project is a joint initiative between the City of Leipzig, HTWK Leipzig and Leipzig University.


The call for applications refers to the programme period from 02.09.-20.09.2024.

The current application period runs until 27.03.2024 [extended 10.04.2024]. The project management invites to personal selection interviews after reviewing all application submissions.
