We – the Staff Council (“Hochschulbereich”) - are the local staff representatives of all employees at Leipzig University (excluding the Faculty of Medicine). We represent your interests towards university management and are happy to support and advise you on your individual concerns.
Currently, the Staff Council (“Hochschulbereich”) comprises 21 elected employees. Motions from the university management are decided by a majority vote.
As a rule, we have a statutory period of 10 working days to express our opinion, which results in our fortnightly meeting schedule on Wednesdays in the odd-numbered calendar weeks. We have an average of 40 motions to discuss and decide on per meeting day.

Please note that consultations in English are only possible to a limited extent.
