At the 9th Leipziger Gründungsnacht on 19 November, the winner of the Arqus International Innovators Award 2024 was announced alongside the StartUp Prize and the Public Award for the best idea. This year's winner is the Italian start-up Astrodemo.

More than 600 people from across Europe voted for the Arqus International Innovators Award. The Italian start-up Astrodemo received the most votes among the six international nominees. Congratulations!

Astrodemo is launching innovations into the Space Economy through Low-Cost space missions, helping to make an impact in orbit and on Earth. Behind Astrodemo there is a team of Master's students, PhD candidates and alumni from the University of Padua, specializing in the engineering fields required for developing space missions: Aerospace, Electronics and Biomedical Engineering.

Leipzig was represented by the Inclusive Gaming team, which develops digital applications for visually impaired and blind people.

The competition is held annually and aims to encourage students and researchers to present their projects in a European context.
