Five doctoral researchers from the Hebrew University will spend a year researching at Leipzig University together with their Leipzig colleagues, deepening their knowledge of theories and methods, learning research-relevant languages and taking advantage of the Graduate Academy’s programmes. The programme will already enable the doctoral researchers to forge close links with libraries, museums and archives during the first year.
Launching the programme marks an important milestone in establishing an international research network on Jewish material culture. The RTG is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Alfred Landecker Foundation.
