The Rectorate and the Deans agreed on the following today:

  • Upcoming examinations should be postponed if possible. Any that do take place will be held in a sufficiently large room or lecture hall that allows a minimum distance of one or ideally two metres between individual students.
  • Where possible, oral examinations for individuals or small groups should be carried out in real time using Skype or comparable digital technology. Please direct any organisational questions to the relevant examination board, examination office or Study Offices.
  • State Examinations (Staatsprüfungen) on the Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy degree programmes will still take place this week as planned, because the competent Landesprüfungsamt has not yet decided otherwise. The Sächsisches Landesprüfungsamt für akademische Heilberufe is the central examination authority for the Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy programmes.

Vice-Rector Professor Thomas Hofsäss will discuss further questions on the subject of examinations with all the Deans of Studies tomorrow.
