Students can apply for the one-off payment of 200 euros from mid-March via the federal government’s central application portal.

Please note the following information about applying for the one-off payment:

All students will first need to create a BundID account.

You will need a personal access code for the application itself. Leipzig University will email personal access codes to all students who were enrolled on 1 December 2022. The emails will be sent exclusively to your email address as stored in AlmaWeb.

The quickest way to prove your identity when applying is to use the online ID function or a personal ELSTER certificate.

Alternatively, proof of identity can also be provided by means of a PIN. Leipzig University will send PINs to all students, again using the email address stored in AlmaWeb. This will be a little later on, around 15 March 2023. You do not need to request a PIN.

The link on the right-hand side of this page provides more information about the process. Please be aware that Leipzig University is unable to answer detailed questions about this government-funded scheme.
