The faculty is looking for an internationally recognized scientist in the field of Theoretical Computer Science. Designated research experience should be proven in a relevant research area of theoretical computer science such as the theory of automata and formal languages, complexity theory or algorithm theory. It is assumed that the future holder of the position is identified by high-quality international publications and the successful acquisition of third-party research funding. Broad teaching experience in computer science is expected.

The tasks of the professorship include teaching in all degree programs of the Institute of Computer Science. Participation in existing and new research associations that aligns with the university’s profile in the "Mathematical and Computational Sciences" is expected.

The job holder’s rights and obligations are regulated by the Saxon Higher Education Act (SächsHSG) and the Saxon Service Regulations for Higher Education Institutions (HSDAVO). Applicants must meet the requirements of § 59 SächsHSG.
