Abstract

I'm involved in the SFB/TR 172 "Arctic Amplicifation" (AC)³ as a Scientific Coordinator. I'm responsible for all scientific and administrative organisations and administrations. The overarching scientific objective of (AC)³ is to identify, investigate, and evaluate the key processes contributing to Arctic Amplification, improve our understanding of the major feedback mechanisms, and quantify their relative importance for Arctic Amplification.

Professional career

  • 09/2010 - 10/2014
Scientific employee at the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research
  • since 11/2014
    Scientific employee at Leipzig University

Education

  • 10/2004 - 08/2010
Leipzig University: Meteorology (Diplom). Thesis: Depolarization measurements in cirrus clouds using a conventional backscatter lidar.
  • 09/2010 - 05/2015
Leipzig University: Meteorology (PhD). Thesis: Retrieval of Optical and Microphysical Cloud Properties Using Ship-based Spectral Solar Radiation Measurements over the Atlantic Ocean.
