Abstract

Since graduating in summer 2020, I have been working as part of a team preparing the new edition of the Roman comic fragments. My doctoral thesis, which I submitted in summer 2024, is currently being reviewed.

In my position as research assistant I am working on the fragments of Roman comedy, in particular on questions of transmission. In my PhD thesis (submitted in summer 2024, currently under review), I analyse the ancient afterlife of Terence († after 160 BC), seeking to answer the question of how and why the poet, as the only one of the archaic Roman authors, became part of the imperial school curriculum. My current research is primarily concerned with textual criticism and archaic Roman meter as well as canon formation in antiquity.
