Cardiff University

The experience abroad gives you exposure of life with a taste of new language and culture. The idea was suggested by my supervisor as the project was aimed on Catalysis and we have the biggest Catalysis Research Institute based at Cardiff University.

I started planning in July 2019 and all the arrangements were made by the host University. My supervisor helped me in planning and for arrangements, the host University helped.

The main working language was English but I wanted to learn the culture behind the language. I have learnt the language in high school. I highly suggest learning the language.

The experience in the facility exceeded my expectation.The people around were motivating and they guided me well throughout my project. Meeting with influential people has had a great impact on me during my stay. Work culture around the facility has given me a professional grooming.

I lived with a local family and the experience has been great. The family has shown me many places over the weekend and surprised me many times with prepared meals.

The accommodation cost was a little more than expected and I received support from the internship facility.

The special experiences were all mainly related to the subject. I learnt many techniques and could develop a great networking.

My supervisor at University of Leipzig guided and helped me in recognition.

The return did not change much about my life back in Leipzig.

The learning abroad gave me so many new directions to think about which makes me want to explore more.
