Law & Order: German work contracts for international students. What are your rights and duties?
Are you planning to work in a (student) job or an internship in Germany? We want you to be aware of the most important basics in German work contracts.
When you are hired for a job you will be signing a work contract. Before you do so we would like you to know about the basic rights and obligations resulting out of a work agreement in Germany.
Topics included are:
- work contract types (e.g. Minijob, Midijob, Werkstudent)
- probationary periods
- dismissal, annual leave, sick leave
- social security insurance and taxes
